During the IMTJ 2016 event in Madrid, our director – Yolanda Herreros – was interviewed to explain the fundamental role of the Medical Tourism Facilitator (MTF). She stated that the role of an MTF in Spain is mainly to assist the international patient at each stage of their health trip to our hospitals and clinics.

The function of the healthcare providers on an international level was also highlighted.

“We, as facilitators, represent hospitals and specialists at international events.”

Patients usually contact a facilitator

Therefore, as facilitators, we serve as a link to doctors, hospitals and clinics in order to get patients the treatment they need, at the same time providing them with details of the costs involved and any other information they may require. Furthermore, we offer a range of additional services that lead to patients choosing Spain for their treatment: a safe destination with first-rate healthcare services, with the possibility of being accompanied every step of the way during their health trip.
